ConvertAll is built privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We don't operate any. Every file you convert is processed on your device and stays there.
Conversions run entirely on your device using Apple's own image and media frameworks together with an on-device FFmpeg build. Source files are read only for as long as a conversion takes. Converted files are written into ConvertAll's own app storage, and beyond that they only go where you send them: your Photos library, the Files app, a share sheet destination, or wherever you choose to save them. Deleting the app removes everything ConvertAll kept.
ConvertAll keeps a local list of your recent conversions so you can find a result again. It lives on your device only. You can clear it at any time in Settings, and you can set it to clear automatically when the app closes.
The Home Screen and Notification Center widgets read the same local data: your recent conversions, your counts, and small preview thumbnails ConvertAll generated on your device. This data is stored in the app's shared container on your device. It is never sent anywhere.
If you grant Photos access, ConvertAll uses it for exactly two things: reading the images and videos you pick, and writing converted files back to your library when you ask it to. You can also skip Photos access entirely and pick files through the Files app instead, which grants access per file as you choose it.
